A Bit About Me : Hi I’m David a Glasgow based advertising photographer. Rooted in a commercial background, my work is shaped by an instinct for visual clarity and narrative, balanced with a sensitivity to human presence.
I approach the subject as a collaboration rather than an observation. I’m drawn to moments of stillness and subtle expression, where character emerges without affectation. I like to think that my portraits favour restraint and intention, allowing light, gesture, and gaze to carry meaning.
Influenced by the discipline of advertising yet guided by a quieter, more contemplative impulse, my portraits aim to distil something essential creating images that feel both deliberate and intimate, and that linger beyond the frame.
The Experience : The process is calm, personal, and collaborative. Whether in the studio or on location, there is no pressure to “perform” for the camera, just space to relax, and let something real appear.I only take on a limited number of portrait commissions each month. This ensures every session receives proper time and attention. It’s not about volume, it’s about making something you’ll value for years to come.
A Bit About You : I’d love to hear your story. Get in touch for a consultation, and we’ll create something together.
